Born and raised in Bellingham, CJ Berg is a true northwest native. After attaining her Bachelors Degree from Western Washington University, she then pursued her burgeoning passion of photography at the world renowned Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. There, her existing love of the outdoors and nature combined with an appreciation for architecture, landscape and the built environment leading her to focus on the many intricacies of architectural photography. Her approach is transformative, turning the functional into the exceptional using the basic elements of volume, form and light. Inspired by influential pioneers Julias Schulman and Ezra Stoller, her work leans similarly toward innovative solutions in modern design, sustainable practices and prefabricated housing.
