Hi! We are Lindsay and Kacy and live in the Saint Louis area. We are so excited to share with you what is happening! For the past couple of years we have admired all the beautiful birth photography taking place on the east and west coasts. After many long conversations and brainstorming over coffee, we are excited to bring this unique experience to our area through First Hugs Birth Photography!

Birth Photography is more than just our specialty, but our passion. With our combination of talents, one a creative designer and the other a birth guru, we offer editorial photographs that will allow you to experience your baby’s unique birth story from years to come.

Be it a birth in a hospital, birthing center, a C-section—no matter where or how you give birth, when you have a baby, the memories of that day will be the most compelling and precious memories you have. It would be an honor to create a photo documentary of the entrance of your child. We understand the importance of documenting quietly and unobtrusively and not cause distraction that would take away from the sacred miracle.

Without a professional photographer you may be left with only a few blurry shots of the baby after delivery with nothing to document the details and labor process of the day. For example, what did your baby look like when he took his first breath? What was your reaction? Who was in the room? Who smiled? Who cried?

We will take very special care to photography every detail you want to remember, and most importantly, capture all those things you might miss throughout the fog or labor and emotion.

I photograph youth sports and high school seniors exclusively. Many photographers try to be all things to all people and do none of them well. My focus (no pun intended) is on athletes. They have an internal drive that I admire. They tend to be more social and active in all areas of their life than most students. And I truly enjoy being around them, getting to know them, and ultimately bring out that spark in their senior portraits.
